On February 13th, 2025, SUPER-i hosted its final webinar, bringing together industry experts, housing professionals and more to discuss the innovations in sustainable social housing.
SUPER-i is set to host its final webinar on February 13th, 2025, marking the conclusion of various innovations aimed at revolutionizing social and affordable housing through innovative financing and sustainable solutions.
A co-design session dedicated to young participants took place on January 20 at the Cobolli Recreation Center in Trieste, employing the design thinking methodology rooted in the principles of a “human-centered approach.” This methodology focuses on addressing individual needs to develop innovative solutions that respond effectively to these expressed demands.
– A co-design session dedicated to engaging young participants took place on Monday, 13 January, at Edilmaster School in collaboration with Ricreatorio Cobolli, Trieste. The session employed the Block by Block methodology, developed by the United Nations Agency UN-Habitat, which uses the popular video game Minecraft as a virtual modeling tool for collaborative project proposals.
As part of its commitment to sustainability through the SUPERSHINE pilot project, FB is pioneering efforts to rewild common green areas in collaboration with local stakeholders. This initiative, set in Department 24, will bring new life to communal spaces by replacing traditional lawn areas with a variety of wild plants, fostering a healthier, more biodiverse environment.
About 47 million EU citizens can’t afford to heat their homes, with high material costs and poor financing options blocking renovations. But the impact of energy efficiency goes beyond just savings. “Public support for housing upgrades is vital to European democracy,” experts warn. “Without it, we risk losing key parts of the social fabric.”
The event will take place on Thursday, November 14th in Copenhagen, with a focus on showcasing the progress made and the future ahead.
