SUPERSHINE invites you to the “Tool Kit Workshop”!

January 14 , 1:00 pm

SUPERSHINE invites you to attend the Toolkit Workshop on the 14th of January, a dedicated 90-minute capacity-building session offering hands-on knowledge, expert perspectives, and lessons learned from the project’s Lighthouse and Follower Cities.

The workshop will bring together a multidisciplinary panel of experts to showcase how financial, environmental, and technical perspectives can jointly support sustainable building retrofitting for vulnerable households across Europe.

As part of the SUPERSHINE Capacity Building Programme, the session aims to ensure the long-term impact and replicability of the project results. Each partner will deliver a focused 20-minute presentation based on the project’s technical factsheets, illustrating practical experiences and concrete lessons learned.

The session will feature contributions from:

Financial Perspective – University of York (UoY):
Innovative financial models and mechanisms designed to facilitate renovation in vulnerable housing contexts.

Environmental Perspective – Centro de Investigación de Recursos y Consumos Energéticos(CIRCE) & Fundación CARTIF (CARTIF):
Key environmental considerations, including urban green areas and the environmental performance of residential buildings.

Technical Perspective – CARTIF & partners:
Technical solutions implemented in the Lighthouse Cities (Trieste, Herning, Riga) and Follower Cities (Setúbal, Belgrade, Zaragoza, Kadıköy), focusing on practical deployment and results.

Moderated by Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea (APRE), the workshop will include short expert presentations, followed by opportunities for discussion and exchange among participants. Contributions will be provided by UoY, CARTIF, CIRCE, DEMIR, and other members of the SUPERSHINE consortium.

Participants will gain valuable insights into inclusive renovation, learn directly from the experiences of SUPERSHINE cities, and acquire practical knowledge on financial, environmental, and technical approaches to improving vulnerable housing across Europe.
