On Tuesday, May 6th, a new co-design session took place in via Boito, right in the heart of the neighborhood, inside a recently installed housing module set up by ATER Trieste. This structure, which has sparked a lot of curiosity, serves as a living lab—a physical space dedicated to listening, imagining, and shaping the future of the area.
Organised by Kallipolis APS, in collaboration with APRE and ATER Trieste, the session focused on “The 15-Minute City” concept as a starting point to reflect on what residents appreciate—or wish to improve—about their neighbourhood.
Through hands-on activities with post-its, physical models, and guided discussions, participants expressed their vision for shared spaces and essential services in the renewed via Boito complex.
Proximity, community, and attention to the needs of younger generations emerged as the key priorities for this transformation. The session marks another important step in the participatory journey toward a more inclusive and people-centred urban environment.
Building on this momentum, a creative workshop dedicated to girls and young women is also being hosted at the newly opened ATER contact point on the27th of May!
In this safe and inclusive space, participants will explore how to design urban areas that reflect their needs, desires, and aspirations. It’s a unique opportunity to shape the future of the neighbourhood—your voice matters!
