SUPERSHINE Joins the Climate People’s Meeting 2025 in Denmark for Energy Poverty and Inspire Collective Climate Action

SUPERSHINE will participate in the 2025 edition of the Climate People’s Meeting (Klimafolkemøde), taking place from 28 to 30 August at the scenic harbour of Middelfart, Denmark. The event brings together citizens, decision-makers, companies, organisations and experts to take meaningful steps toward climate resilience and sustainability.

We will contribute to the public dialogue with insights, solutions, and experiences that align with the spirit of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) – by fostering inclusiveness, beauty, and sustainability in the built environment.

The Climate People’s Meeting: Climate Action Together

The Klimafolkemødet – translated as The Climate Festival – is Denmark’s largest non-commercial climate event, engaging over 40,000 visitors in 2024. With its 2025 theme, “Climate Action Together,” the festival reaffirms its mission to inspire action across public, political, and professional spheres.

By participating in this event with our partner European Green Cities, SUPERSHINE joins a collective effort to put the climate crisis on the agenda, reinforcing the need for collaborative approaches to social housing renovation that deliver on energy efficiency, environmental justice, and social inclusion.

Our partner, EGC  will host an open dialogue addressing the social perspective on energy, with a focus on energy poverty and citizen engagement, acknowledging that there is no one size fits all approach. SUPERSHINE will be  represented both at the dialogue, through the facilitation and participation of EGC as well as at their stand.

Drawing on European experiences and projects such as SUPERSHINE, the discussion will explore how the energy transition can be aligned with social justice.

The session, facilitated by EGC, will revolve around open-ended questions, the sharing of experiences, and joint exploration with participants.
