Public Engagement in Social Housing Seminar at ISHF 2025

Organised by our partner ICONS within the framework DEDALUS project during ISHF2025, this seminar will bring together housing practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and project partners to explore innovative strategies for resident engagement and the financial sustainability of interventions in the social housing sector.
Through a series of real-world case studies and participatory tools, the session will tackle themes such as trust-building, digital inclusion, and replicable models to support a just and inclusive energy transition.
The seminar will be opened by Chiara Fonio, Head of Social Innovation at ICONS, and moderated by Claudia Crippa, Head of Business Innovation.
Confirmed speakers include Dimitra Xidous (Trinithaus), Panos Skaloumpakas (NTUA), and Cosmo Murray (Mazi Housing), each offering unique perspectives on participatory approaches and co-creation practices within diverse community contexts.
We are also pleased to highlight the participation of Dr. Paola Zerilli, Scientific Coordinator of SUPERSHINE, she will address financial barriers to energy efficiency in social housing, showcasing practical solutions from SUPERSHINE’s work in Italy, Denmark, and Latvia. Her intervention will demonstrate how sustainable upgrades can bring tangible economic and social value to both tenants and housing providers.
